Ports of Call – Southport NC – A Reason to Celebrate

dining_1_835Ports of Call Bistro celebrates its first anniversary this week with a new summer menu. The Bistro aims to provide the “World on Your Plate” in a beautiful, fine dining environment. Our menu emphasizes selections from the Mediterranean and Continental families of cuisine, but has always extended its range to include “specials” from other parts of the globe. We provide meals with healthy, whole, and largely local ingredients, preparing dishes of high quality and authentic to their cultural roots.

Owners Jake and Ray drew from their far-flung travel 24experiences working abroad and from their old haunts in Greenwich Village NY when drafting the design for The Bistro. Much like National Geographic does visually, Ports of Call “celebrates the world” around us, through its food, décor, music, and friendly staff. We want you to feel both transported and at home when visiting The Bistro.


10Our culinary team, Executive Chef Christopher Wheeler and Sous Chef Deanna Demchock, are enthusiastic about international cuisine. Both are experienced executive chefs. Ray bakes fresh items daily. We are thankful for our many faithful patrons and for all the local residents and endless stream of visitors who have stopped by. We’ve had guests from as far away as New Zealand, Italy, Argentina, and even Sweden of late (guess who!), not to mention Bolivia…ok., Bolivia NC! And yes, we cherish you all.
